Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP)
is an active and interactive form of therapy that offers the opportunity to:
-
Develop bodymind awareness
-
Reflect on patterns of
behaviour and non verbal expression
-
Recognise patterns of relationship informed by childhood experience
-
Allow integration of thinking with feeling
-
Feel emotionally connected
-
Make sense of confused
thoughts and feelings
The therapy environment provides a safe
and confidential space in which to explore thinking,
feeling and sensing through movement, play and words. My own therapeutic practice is
informed by psychoanalytic psychotherapy, movement observation and
analysis, and sensorimotor psychotherapy.

We all have a desire to
shift and change, to improve the relationship with ourselves and
others, to realise our potential, to discover what we really want,
to build in confidence, to feel more integrated and to reach a level
of contentment with ourselves. Dance movement psychotherapy can
offer you a place to creatively explore one or all of these desires.
